Our Story — Founded in Calgary, 2013

Three North Clean was founded in Calgary in 2013 in the Auburn Bay neighbourhood of SE Calgary. What started as a one-person residential cleaning operation has grown over 12+ years into a team of dedicated cleaning professionals serving over 125 regular clients across all Calgary quadrants and neighbouring communities including Airdrie, Chestermere, and Cochrane.

The company was built from firsthand experience cleaning Calgary homes — understanding how hard water affects shower glass, how Calgary winters track salt into every entryway, how furnace dust settles through months of closed windows, and what Calgary homeowners actually care about when someone enters their home. That practical knowledge is baked into everything we do.

Today, Three North Clean operates from three local Calgary offices — SE Calgary (Auburn Bay), NW Calgary, and Downtown. We are not a franchise. We are not a national chain. We are a Calgary business, owned and operated by people who live here. Our growth has been built entirely on reputation and referrals — word of mouth from Calgarians who were glad they called us.

Our Team

The Three North Clean team is led by Sarah Mitchell, Operations Manager since 2015, who oversees scheduling, quality control, and client relations across all three offices. Every cleaner on our team is carefully selected — we turn away far more applicants than we hire. All team members are background-checked, bonded, insured, and go through a multi-week paid training program before their first solo clean.

We believe in fair wages and respectful working conditions. Three North Clean pays above the Calgary cleaning industry average — not because it is a marketing point, but because retaining experienced cleaners is what delivers consistent quality for our clients.
