Apartment & Condo Cleaning in Edmonton: What to Expect

By Sarah Mitchell, Operations Manager — Three North Clean·August 7, 2026·5 min read

Apartment and condo cleaning covers the same core tasks as house cleaning, but a few things are specific to multi-unit buildings — especially in denser Edmonton neighbourhoods like downtown, Oliver, and Windermere where a large share of our Edmonton clients live.

---

Building Access

Most apartment and condo buildings require some form of visitor access — a fob at the main entrance, a concierge sign-in, or advance notice to building management. Letting us know your building's specific process when you book means the cleaner isn't stuck in the lobby on arrival. If you're not going to be home, arranging fob or key access in advance (or coordinating with a concierge) keeps the visit on schedule.

Smaller Footprint, Same Standard

A studio or 1-bedroom apartment has less square footage than a house, but every room still gets cleaned to the same standard — bathroom sanitizing, kitchen detailing, floors, and dusting all happen regardless of unit size. This is why pricing is based on bedroom count and bathrooms rather than a flat per-unit rate: a 2-bedroom condo genuinely takes longer to clean thoroughly than a studio.

In-Suite Laundry and Smaller Kitchens

Many Edmonton apartments and condos have compact, combined laundry/utility closets and smaller kitchens than a typical house. These don't take less time to clean per square foot — if anything, tighter spaces with more surfaces per square meter (stacked laundry units, compact appliances) can take comparable time to a larger kitchen.

Condo-Specific Considerations

Condo buildings sometimes have stricter rules around cleaning products, disposal, or visitor hours than rental apartment buildings. If your condo board has specific requirements, let us know when booking so we can plan the visit accordingly.
